Culture Department and Heritage Protection Program
The Culture Department works to promote culture and protect and safeguard heritage across the Arab World. It also seeks to raise awareness as to the significant role of culture and heritage in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In its work, it gives special attention to the city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and other occupied Palestinian and Arab territories, as well as to Arab countries going through difficult times. It also seeks, jointly with relevant inter-governmental and non-governmental organizations, to preserve collective memory and cultural identities.
