As part of its efforts to strengthen international cooperation and expand partnerships with international institutions and organizations, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) continues to strengthen its cooperation with UNESCO and promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise, thereby contributing to the advancement of scientific and cultural content in Arabic.
In this context, and pursuant to the agreement concluded between ALECSO and UNESCO, ALECSO has undertaken the translation into Arabic of a number of publications from the Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report. This work was carried out in cooperation between ALECSO’s Department of Science and Scientific Research and the Arab Centre for Translation, Arabization, Authorship and Publishing in Damascus.
The translated publications include:

- Global Education Monitoring Report (GEM) 2023: Technology in Education — A Tool on Whose Terms?
This initiative forms part of ALECSO’s efforts to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and support the priorities of the Arab Strategy for Scientific Research, Technology and Innovation. It also contributes to enriching scientific and knowledge content in Arabic through the dissemination of specialized reports and studies, strengthening the presence of the Arabic language in the fields of science, education, and innovation, and enabling institutions, researchers, and policymakers across Arab countries to benefit from key international reference publications in their own language.
