Moroccan Culture Minister receives ALECSO Director-General

 

H.E. Mr. Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication of the Kingdom of Morocco, received H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, on the sidelines of the “Forum on Cultural and Creative Industries,” held in Rabat, Morocco, in the presence of several officials from both sides.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between ALECSO and the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication in the fields of culture and creative industries. Discussions also explored mechanisms for developing joint programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing cultural economy, empowering youth and creators, and enhancing the presence of Arab culture at the regional and international levels.

The Director-General expressed his appreciation for Morocco’s leading role in supporting joint Arab cultural action, and commended the high-quality initiatives and activities taking place within Morocco’s cultural landscape, particularly in the areas of heritage and cultural and creative industries.

For his part, the Minister reaffirmed Morocco’s commitment to continuing its support for ALECSO’s efforts and strengthening partnership with the Organization in a manner that serves Arab culture and keeps pace with developments in the cultural and creative sectors at both the Arab and international levels.

The meeting also underscored the importance of intensifying joint Arab coordination in the cultural field and promoting the exchange of expertise and successful experiences in order to position culture as a driver of sustainable development and civilizational dialogue.
