ALECSO Director-General receives Libyan Education Minister   and his accompanying delegation

 

 

H.E. Dr. Mohammed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on April 27, 2026, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Abdul Salam Al-Qariou, Minister of Education of the State of Libya, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by H.E. Mr. Mustafa Gadara, Ambassador of the State of Libya to the Republic of Tunisia, along with the directors of ALECSO’s technical departments.

The Director-General welcomed the Organization’s guests and commended the deep-rooted relations between ALECSO and the State of Libya. He reaffirmed the Organization’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation with Libyan educational, cultural, and scientific institutions across various fields.

The meeting featured a brief presentation on ALECSO’s flagship programs and initiatives in the areas of education, culture, and science. It also provided an opportunity to explore prospects for joint cooperation, particularly in curriculum development, capacity-building, and the utilization of Libyan expertise.

For his part, the Libyan Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation for the warm reception. He commended ALECSO’s role in supporting Arab educational efforts and affirmed his country’s commitment to expanding cooperation and drawing on the Organization’s expertise in its fields of specialization.

Both sides also emphasized the importance of increasing coordination and consultation in pursuit of shared goals.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Director-General presented the Libyan Minister of Education with the ALECSO Shield.
