H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, paid an official visit, on February 2, 2026, to the headquarters of the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts, based in Cairo, Egypt.
The Director-General was received by Dr. Musa Al-Jubouri, Director of the Institute, who welcomed the visit and emphasized its significance as a support to the Institute’s mandate. On the occasion of this visit, Dr. Al-Jubouri formally took the oath of office as the new Director of the Institute.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Naeem, Director of the Khartoum International Institute of the Arabic Language (former Director of the Institute), Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Kamal, Director of the Institute of Arab Research and Studies (former Director of the Institute), as well as Mr. Yahya Mansour, Head of the Administrative and Financial Department at the Institute.
The Director-General commended the Institute’s vital role in promoting the culture of Arabic manuscripts and in raising public awareness in ways that reinforce Arab identity and safeguard collective memory.
