The city of Tlemcen, Algeria, hosted, on November 27, 2025, the regional meeting on the joint Arab nomination file titled: “Traditional Board Games: Skills and Social Practices.”
The meeting was held as part of ALECSO’s efforts to coordinate joint Arab action for the inscription of Arab cultural heritage elements on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
This file was initiated by Algeria, with the participation of 14 Arab countries, under the direct supervision of ALECSO.
