H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on December 16, 2025 at ALECSO headquarters, Dr. Ali Ould Mohamed Salem El Boukhary, President of the University of Nouakchott.
The meeting took place as part of ALECSO’s efforts to strengthen its academic and scientific cooperation with higher education institutions across the Arab world.
The meeting offered an opportunity to exchange views on ways to support Arab universities and enhance their role in the fields of education, culture, and scientific research. It also explored prospects for further cooperation to develop higher education systems and improve the quality of their outputs.
During the meeting, the Director-General offered a commemorative shield to the President of the University of Nouakchott, in appreciation of the University’s significant academic and scientific role and its commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation.
For his part, the President of the University of Nouakchott presented a commemorative shield to the Director-General, in appreciation of his continued support for the University, and in recognition of ALECSO’s significant contributions, under his leadership, to the promotion of education, culture, and science in the Arab world.
Both sides stressed their commitment to pursuing coordination and joint action in a manner that strengthens institutional partnership and serves development goals in Arab countries.
