Launch of  5th edition of the Arab Code Week - Training Phase

 

The fifth edition of the Arab Code Week was launched in Tunis on April 19, 2025,  under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of ICT at ALECSO, and Executive Director of the Arab Code Week. 

The event kicked off with a first training session, held remotely via Teams, devoted to AI applications, moderated by Mr. Mustafa Khaled and Mr. Mustafa Ali Al-Zubaidi from Iraq.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Jemni welcomed all participants, to whom he conveyed the greetings of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and his wishes for a successful event.  He noted that this edition of the Arab Code Week is organized in partnership between ALECSO, the Tunisian Association for Educational Initiatives, and the Saad Foundation for Knowledge and Scientific Research (Kuwait). He also expressed his gratitude to the Saad Foundation and the State of Kuwait that will kindly host the closing ceremony in December 2025. He also took this opportunity to thank to all the trainers who will be involved in the training phase, as well as to all educators and volunteers from Arab countries who will effectively contribute to the success of this edition.

This year’s edition of the Arab Code Week is held under the theme of:
“Artificial Intelligence and Programming in the Service of Arab Culture”.  The training phase runs from April 19 to April 30, 2025, while the Golden Events will take place from May 10 to May 17, 2025.
