H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, received, on October 16, 2024 at the Ministry’s headquarters, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).
The Minister expressed his appreciation for the Director-General’s visit which aims to further strengthen cooperation between ALECSO and its headquarters country, Tunisia. He commended the significant and longstanding cooperation between the two sides in the service of joint Arab action. He hailed the quality of activities implemented by ALECSO in Tunisia and in other Member States, and stressed the importance of providing continued support to ALECSO so that it can fulfil its educational, cultural, and scientific mandate in optimum conditions.
For his part, the Director-General thanked the Minister, and through him, the President, Government, and people of Tunisia, for providing continued support to ALECSO and facilitating its work in the headquarters country. He briefed the Minister on ALECSO’s current and future programs and projects. He also highlighted ALECSO’s strong relations with Arab countries, allowing them to benefit from its knowledge and expertise.
The Minister reiterated continued support for ALECSO, so that it remains a beacon of knowledge, efficiently fulfilling its role through its high-quality programs, projects, and initiatives as well as through the specialized Ministerial Conferences implemented in Tunisia and in other Member States.
