The Minister of Cultural Affairs of the Republic of Tunisia, H.E. Mrs. Amina Srarfi, received, on October 16, 2024, at the Ministry’s headquarters, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).
The meeting explored ways to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry and ALECSO in various fields, including heritage preservation and the preparation of joint nomination files for inscription on UNESCO’s Intangible Heritage List.
The Minister commended the significant role played by ALECSO in all its areas of action, particularly in the field of culture, affirming the Ministry’s continued support for all the Organization’s activities in Tunisia, the headquarters country of ALECSO.
For his part, the Director-General briefed the Minister on ALECSO's current and future projects and programs. He expressed appreciation for the continued support offered by the Culture Ministry to the Organization, emphasizing his desire to further enhance cooperation in various fields.
