At Huawei Summit in Tashkent :   ALECSO presents its vision on digital transformation in higher education 

 

 

At the invitation of Huawei, Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of ICT at ALECSO, took part in the Huawei Middle East & Central Asia Tech Carnival & Partner Summit 2025, held on May 19–20, 2025, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Dr. Jemni delivered a keynote lecture titled “Smart Digital Transformation of Higher Education in the Arab World,” in which he highlighted ALECSO’s key efforts and strategic initiatives in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital transformation in education. His presentation covered several significant projects, including:

  • The “ALECSO Charter on AI Ethics”, which aims to promote the use of AI in a manner aligned with Arab cultural values and specificities;
  • The “Annual Arab AI-in-Education Conference”, with its most recent edition focusing on Generative AI and Large Language Models;
  • Saddiqni” Platform: A regional  Blockchain-based academic certificate authentication system, officially adopted by Arab Ministers of Higher Education;
  • Launch of an Educational NFT Platform to foster digital innovation among Arab youth;
  • Strategic partnerships with major global institutions such as Huawei, Intel, UNESCO-IITE, and Beijing Normal University.

Dr. Jemni stressed that AI offers an unprecedented opportunity to bring about a qualitative leap in Arab education. He called for increasing collaboration with leading tech companies and international organizations to build an educational system that is smart, equitable, and deeply rooted in Arab cultural specificities.

This participation served as a platform to enhance the Arab presence in the global digital transformation landscape, and offered a valuable opportunity to develop high-impact partnerships in smart education and AI technologies.
