H.E. Mr. Uday Hatem al-Issawi, Head of the Iraqi Teachers Syndicate, along with his deputy and members of the Central Administrative Board, received H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO. This visit came as part of efforts to enhance cooperation between the Organization and educational institutions in Iraq.
The meeting discussed prospects for collaboration in such areas as curriculum development, teacher support, use of technology in education, and preservation of Arab cultural heritage. It also reviewed the joint programs currently implemented by ALECSO in Iraq.
Mr. Al-Issawi noted that this visit provides significant moral support to Iraqi teachers, and reflects ALECSO’s commitment to direct engagement with educational institutions. He added, “We believe in the importance of joint efforts to advance education in the Arab world, and through this cooperation, we seek to enhance teachers’ professional skills and build generations capable of coping with challenges.”
For his part, the Director-General provided an overview of ALECSO’s work and key upcoming projects in education, culture, and science. He commended the role of Arab teachers in instilling cultural values. He expressed his appreciation of the Syndicate’s pivotal role in supporting and empowering teachers.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Uday Hatim Al-Issawi offered a commemorative shield to Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar.
