H.E. Dr. Azzedine El Midaoui, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation of the Kingdom of Morocco, received, on January 16, 2025, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO.
This meeting discussed cooperation between ALECSO and the Kingdom of Morocco in the fields of higher education and scientific research, and the follow-up to the resolutions and recommendations adopted by the Conference of Arab Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to the launch of the Arab University Ranking program.
The Director-General briefed the Minister on ALECSO’s main programs in the field of science research, as well as on the Arab Plan for Education in Emergencies and Crises and the future-oriented vision of the Organization. He commended the longstanding cooperation between ALECSO and Morocco, coordinated by the Moroccan National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science.
For his part, the Minister expressed his gratitude to the Director-General for the significant level of coordination and consultation between the two sides in the educational, scientific, and cultural fields, and emphasized the prospects for future cooperation through ALECSO’s programs and activities in Morocco.
At the end of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between the two sides, covering various partnership programs including the provision of a number of scholarships for students from Arab countries to study in Morocco.
