ALECSO participates in InnoXera Global Summit Oman 2025

 

The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization  (ICT Department) took part in the InnoXera Global Summit, held on January 13, 2025, in Muscat, Oman.  The Summit was organized by Classera company in collaboration with the Omani Ministry of Education. 

This summit is one of the most prominent regional events that brings together education experts and decision-makers to discuss the future of smart education and innovation in the region.

Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of ICT at ALECSO, participated in a panel on “The Role of Governments in Formulating e-Learning Legislation.” In his presentation, he highlighted the pivotal role of governments in developing legislation related to e-learning, noting that digital transformation in the education sector requires a legislative and regulatory framework that ensures quality and recognition of digital qualifications.

Dr. Jemni stressed that e-learning legislation should keep pace with rapidly evolving technologies, and underlined the need to establish national reference frameworks that guarantee the quality of digital learning content and platforms. He also pointed out the need to strengthen public-private collaboration to promote innovation in education, and commended the role of startups in providing innovative solutions that support smart learning.

Dr. Jemni emphasized the importance of ensuring equal opportunities for access to e-learning, particularly for marginalized groups and persons with special needs, as well as developing inclusive policies that cater to the learning needs of all. He concluded by stressing the importance of continued dialogue among governments and educational and technology institutions to build a sustainable e-learning system that contributes to achieving comprehensive digital transformation in the education sector.
