Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of ICT at ALECSO, paid a visit to the Arab Open University in Oman on January 12, 2025. He met with Dr. Mohammed Albadi, Rector of the University, in the presence of Mr. Salem Al-Hadrami, Head of the Communication Development Sector at the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science.
This visit is part of ALECSO’s ongoing efforts to enhance partnership and cooperation with academic institutions and develop innovative technological solutions to promote education in the Arab world.
Dr. Jemni offered a detailed presentation on ALECSO's projects for the period 2025-2026, with emphasis on the Organization’s main initiatives designed to promote digital transformation in the Arab world.
The meeting discussed ALECSO’s Blockchain-based Academic Certificate Authentication System. It was agreed to take practical steps for the implementation of this project at the Arab Open University, which will help the University to align with the latest technologies.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of pursuing cooperation in other areas related to digital innovation and open education, which would enhance the role of the University and the Organization in promoting sustainable development in the region.
