Qatar hosts 14th Conference of Arab Education Ministers 

 

The State of Qatar hosts, on January 5-7, 2025, the 14th session of  the Conference of Arab Education Ministers, to be organized by ALECSO in collaboration with the Qatari Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science. 

The event will feature the participation of Arab Education Ministers, high-level delegations from Arab States, and representatives from relevant regional and international organizations, along with leaders of local education institutions and a select group of relevant experts and specialists.

The Conference will be held this year under the theme of “Inclusive Education and Teacher Empowerment: A Strategic Vision for Education in the Arab World”. It will serve as a platform to share expertise and successful experiences in terms of inclusive education and teacher empowerment,  set standards and criteria to promote equitable and inclusive quality education, and address ways of providing digital learning opportunities for students in war-torn regions of the Arab world. Additionally, the Conference will discuss future directions for the development of education in Arab countries and the promotion of inter-Arab cooperation in this regard.

The first and second days (January 5 and 6) will feature an Expert Meeting during which delegations from Arab countries will present the key working papers of the Conference. The Ministerial Meeting will be held on the third day (January 7) under the presidency of the State of Qatar. 

The meetings will feature a showcase of the “National Qatari Experience” and a presentation of the main document of the Conference titled “Inclusive Education and Teacher Empowerment: A Strategic Vision for Education in the Arab World”.

The Conference will conclude with the adoption of recommendations and the selection of the venue for the 15th Conference of Arab Ministers of Education.
