Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of ICT at ALECSO, participated in a Dialogue Session organized, on December 23, 2024, by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education on the theme of : “Artificial Intelligence and Higher Education”.
The session was designed to highlight the impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on higher education both locally and regionally, and to put forward innovative policies and strategies to develop this vital sector.
Dr. Jemni offered a detailed overview of ALECSO’s efforts in the field of Artificial Intelligence, including initiatives related to awareness, training, and research support, in addition to the development an Arab Charter for AI Ethics.
The session discussed the importance of localizing AI technology in the Arab world, and enhancing digital skills among youth. It was also an opportunity to showcase leading global experiences in teaching AI at early stages of education.
This participation is part of ALECSO's commitment to supporting Arab countries in achieving digital transformation, and promoting the ethical and sustainable use of AI to advance higher education and achieve sustainable development.
