The Institute of Arab Research and Studies, a subsidiary institution of ALECSO, held, on December 19, 2024, its scientific conference for 2024, under the theme of : “Arab Intellectual Security”.
The conference was inaugurated by the Institute’s Director, Dr. Mohamed Kamal, who conveyed the greetings of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, to all participants, and emphasized the importance of discussing issues related to intellectual security in the Arab world, especially in view of the current challenges posed on the regional and global scene.
The conference featured three sessions : The first addressed “Arab Intellectual Security and Identity Challenges”; the second discussed "Media and Arab Intellectual Security”; and the third focused on “The Economic and Political Challenges Facing Arab Intellectual Security”.
The conference closed with recommendations stressing the importance of mainstreaming the concept of Arab intellectual security and pursuing in-depth studies covering its various dimensions.
