H.E. Dr. Mohammed Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Bahrain, received, on November 18, 2024 at the Ministry’s headquarters, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO.
The meeting discussed various issues related to ALECSO’s work in the fields of education, culture, and science. In this regard, the Minister commended ALECSO’s efforts and programs implemented across the Arab World. For his part, the Director-General thanked the Minister for providing the opportunity of this meeting, and highlighted some of ALECSO’s current and future projects, programs, and activities in the Arab countries.
The meeting addressed potential areas of cooperation between ALECSO and the Bahraini Ministry of Education. In this respect, the Minister welcomed the hosting of various activities to be proposed by ALESCO in the future, and emphasized the importance of involving experts and universities in these activities, particularly in such areas as green jobs and training of trainers.
The Director-General briefed the Minister on ALECSO’s efforts to support youth in Arab countries, and to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. He also touched on ALECSO’s Blockchain-based certificate authentication project, an initiative designed to help Arab universities prevent forgery of certificates.
Both sides agreed to develop a practical program for further collaboration between the Ministry and ALECSO in the near future.
