Institute of Arabic Manuscripts receives   King Salman Global Academy Award for Arabic Language Service

 

Under the generous patronage of HRH Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language organized a ceremony, on November 27, 2024, in Riyadh, to honor the winners of its Award in its third edition.

The Arabic Institute of Manuscripts, a subsidiary institution of ALECSO, was announced winner of the Award in the Branch entitled : “Efforts of individuals and institutions in Arabic language research and scientific studies”. The Award was received by Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Naim, Director of the Institute.

This Award is a token of recognition of the prominent role played by the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts in serving Arab heritage and the Arabic language since its establishment in 1946. The Institute has dedicated its efforts to collecting Arabic manuscripts from around the world, restoring and preserving them, and making them available for researchers and scholars. It has also provided training to relevant specialists, offering a rich expertise in this area of knowledge.

This Award is the culmination of sincere efforts and diligent support from H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, to the Institute.

The Award won by the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts is an international recognition of its status as one of the leading cultural and scientific institutions dedicated to serving Arab heritage. This achievement serves as a catalyst for the Institute to further pursue its role in preserving the identity of the Arab Nation and enhancing its status in international fora.
