H.E. Ms. Lolwah Al-Khater, Minister of Education and Higher Education of the State of Qatar, received, on November 14, 2024 at the Ministry's headquarters, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and his accompanying delegation.
The Minister welcomed the Director-General, who was in Qatar to attend the Fourth Arab Mathematics Olympiad. She affirmed the Ministry's commitment to pursuing cooperation with ALECSO for the implementation of activities that serve joint Arab action in the fields of education, culture, and science. She also expressed her openness to any proposals designed to enhance the sense of entrepreneurship and innovation among Arab youth.
For his part, the Director-General congratulated the Minister on her appointment to this position, wishing her every success in her new mission. He commended the fruitful cooperation between ALECSO and the Ministry, through the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, which has collaborated with ALECSO in organizing the Olympiad.
The Director-General took this opportunity to thank the State of Qatar for the excellent organization of the Olympiad and for the generous hospitality. He expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the meticulous preparation of the event, technically, scientifically and logistically, describing this edition of the Olympiad as a great success.
Both sides agreed to scale up cooperation in such a way as to serve the mission of ALECSO and promote education, culture, and science across the Arab world.
