The Director-General of ALECSO, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, received, on October 10, 2024 at ALECSO headquarters, HRH Princess Basma bint Ali, Chairperson of the Board of trustees of the Hashemite Fund for Development of Jordan Badia, and Founder of the Royal Botanical Garden. The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohammad Shahbaz, Director-General of the Royal Botanical Garden, and Dr. Mohamed Sanad Abu Darwish, Director of Science and Scientific Research at ALECSO.
The Director-General welcomed the Princess and her accompanying delegation, and briefed her about ALECSO’s future plans, including preparations for a conference of Arab women leaderships in various fields. He invited her to honor this conference with her presence.
Welcoming this invitation, Princess Basma indicated her willingness to participate in this event. She also expressed readiness to engage in joint cooperation with ALECSO. She briefed the Director-General on the “Royal Botanical Garden” project, and provided details about the Islamic Garden, which is part of a comprehensive plan now in its third phase of development. She invited ALECSO to collaborate in this project.
Both parties also considered the idea of signing a memorandum of understanding between ALECSO and the Royal Botanical Garden in the close future.
