A high-level delegation from ALECSO paid a working visit to Malta from 25 to 29 September 2024, headed by the Director-General, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar.
The ALECSO Delegation met with H.E. Dr. Clifton Grima, Minister of Education, Sports, Youth, Scientific Research, and Innovation, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Valletta. The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation between ALECSO and the Maltese Ministry of Education, particularly in terms of sharing expertise and creating new opportunities for Arab students and researchers in various scientific disciplines.
During the meeting, the Director-General reviewed some of the major educational, cultural, and scientific programs and projects currently being implemented by ALECSO, along with the Organization’s plans for the future. The Maltese Minister showed great interest in launching cooperation with ALECSO in various fields, and expressed readiness to develop a practical cooperation program.
The Director-General was accompanied by a delegation that included Dr. Rami Iskander, Director of Education, Dr. Mohamed Sanad Abu Darwish, Director of Science and Scientific Research, and a number of ALECSO experts.
The delegation also held meetings with several officials in the fields of education, culture, and science, as well as with presidents of Maltese universities.
