The Deputy Minister for Culture and Arts in the Union of the Comoros oversaw the closing of three simultaneous workshops organized within the framework of cooperation between ALECSO and the Comoros in the fields of intangible heritage preservation, cultural policies, and Arab theater.
These workshops are part of ALECSO's program to support Arab human capacities in its areas of action.
Sixty participants benefited from these workshops which covered the preservation and valorization of cultural heritage, the methodology for inventorying intangible heritage elements, and the joint preparation of nomination files for inscription on UNESCO’s heritage lists. The program also included capacity-building in the preparation, monitoring, and evaluation of cultural policies, the financing of culture, and international agreements related to culture and heritage. One of the workshops focused on the role of theatrical arts in promoting the Arabic language and preserving the cultural identity of the Comoros.
