As we celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) on July 25th of each year, I am pleased to extend my warm congratulations and deep gratitude to our Arab States for their generous support to the Organization, so that it can pursue its mandate in the best possible manner.
This anniversary offers a renewed opportunity to reflect on ALECSO’s decades-long journey in the service of Arab countries, and to highlight its continuous achievements and contributions in the educational, cultural, scientific, and ICT areas. It is also a valuable opportunity to honor and commend the efforts of the early generations who laid the first foundations of the Organization.
Fulfilling the mandate entrusted to ALECSO is a responsibility that we all share, so that we can realize the aspirations cherished by all those who highly contributed to the founding and evolution of this prestigious Arab institution; and it is our duty to preserve the standing of our Organization and ensure its durability.
We are acutely aware of the deep challenges and transformations around us, as well as of the rapid and successive developments the world is currently experiencing. This requires that we optimally prepare for the future with an ambitious, forward-looking vision, so that we can best serve our Arab Nation and its peoples.
We take this opportunity to reiterate our thanks to the Arab countries for their continuous support to ALECSO, enabling it to pursue its mandate and serve as a beacon of thought and knowledge for the Arab Nation, now and in the future.
Thanks are also due to ALECSO’s staff and experts, at the headquarters and in subsidiary institutions, for their excellent performance; and I urge them to continue working with a high sense of team spirit, devotion and commitment.
May Allah grant us success in serving our Arab Nation and its successive generations, so that ALECSO remains a source of pride for all of us.
