Under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Tareq Salem Al-Akbari, Yemeni Minister of Education, and H.E. Mr. Muammar Al-Eryani, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, the Yemeni National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science organized, on July 8, 2024 in Aden, Yemen, a workshop on ‘The Future of Cultural Policies in Yemen". The three-day workshop, held with support from ALECSO, was attended by 20 participants from the Ministry of Culture, the University of Aden, and civil society organizations.
The workshop aimed at strengthening the capacities of participants in the formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of local and sectoral cultural policies. Samples of cultural policies were shared during the workshop.
Dr. Ahmedou Habibi, Expert at ALECSO, offered a presentation on cultural policies and their components, and the mechanisms and methodologies for the development of cultural policies.
