The meeting of the Board of Directors of the Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to African Countries (AFTAAC) kicked off under the chairmanship of H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Fund.
In his opening statement, the Arab League Secretary-General stressed the significant role of the Fund as an effective tool that contributes to strengthening and promoting Arab-African cooperation in the technical field.
The meeting reviewed the Fund’s technical and financial reports, and commended the significant role played by the Fund’s Management, represented by Amb. Mohand Ladjouzi, Assistant Secretary-General of League of Arab States and Director-General of the Fund.
ALECSO participated in this meeting as a permanent member of the Fund’s Board of Directors since its inception. It was represented by Mr. Yahya Mohammed Manser, Acting Director of the Administrative and Finance Department.
