The “ALECSO Youth Events” kicked off on July 1, 2024 at ALECSO headquarters, with the participation of the Council of Europe - Tunis Office, the Tunisian National Youth Observatory, and the International Center for the Promotion of Persons with Disabilities.
In the opening session, the ALECSO representative, Mr. Hechmi Ardhaoui, conveyed the greetings of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, to all participants, and emphasized his commitment to enhancing ALECSO's youth-targeted programs in the Arab countries. These programs aim at strengthening the crucial role of youth in achieving sustainable development and in advancing their societies through their creative and innovative capacities.
The event featured workshops on the role of students and youth in achieving development through proficiency in science, engineering, mathematics, technology, and 21st-century skills. The workshops also covered topics such as artificial intelligence, communication, and women in engineering, alongside presentations and evaluations of engineering projects prepared by students.
