H.E. Dr. Neveen Al-Kilany, Minister of Culture of the Arab Republic of Egypt, received the ALECSO Delegation participating in the Regional Workshop on the Protection and Preservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The Delegation was led by Dr. Hamid Al-Nofali, Director of the Culture Department, and included Mr. Abdelhedi Ghemari, Project Coordinator at the same department. The meeting was attended by Dr. Sherif Saleh, Secretary-General of the Egyptian National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, and Dr. Nahla Imam, Advisor to the Minister of Culture.
Dr. Al-Nofali conveyed the greetings of H.E. Director-General of ALECSO to the Minister who, in turn, extended her thanks to His Excellency and to the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization for the efforts exerted to protect cultural heritage in the Arab world.
In a related context, the Minister directed that a coordination meeting be held as soon as possible to prepare for the Women’s Leadership Summit, scheduled to be held before the end of the current year, in addition to arranging and coordinating the activities planned for 2024.
