As part of its cooperation and partnership with the Africa-Arab Cultural Institute (headquartered in Bamako, Mali), the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) hosted, on June 27-28, 2024, a Symposium on “Africa-Arab Cooperation in Education, Teaching, Vocational Training and Scientific Research”.
In his opening address, delivered on his behalf by Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of ICT Department, the Director-General of ALECSO, Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, highlighted the importance of the Symposium and the topics it discusses, as part of the continuous effort to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 on quality education.
For his part, the Director-General of the Arab-Africa Cultural Institute, Dr. Mohamed Soufi, highlighted the significant cooperation and partnership between the Institute and ALECSO. He indicated that all the papers presented during the Symposium will be compiled into a special book that will be distributed to the Member States of the African Union, the Arab League, and ALECSO.
