H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, paid a visit, on June 10, 2024, to H.E. Mr. Muhammed Muhammad, Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Republic of Tunisia.
The meeting discussed ways of strengthening cooperation between ALECSO and Syria. It also addressed the significant role of Syria in supporting the Organization in the performance of its mandate.
The Director-General briefed the Ambassador on the programs and projects currently implemented by ALECSO in the Arab countries, jointly with National Commissions. He commended, in this context, Syria’s readiness to host some of the Organization’s activities, which will offer opportunities to learn from the Syrian experts who will be present at scientific conferences, forums and seminars.
For his part, the Ambassador thanked the Director-General and commended his role in strengthening cooperation with Syria in pursuit of the Organization’s mandate. He also expressed satisfaction with the level of support that Syria provides to ALECSO so that it remains a beacon of science and knowledge for the Arab Nation.
