ALECSO signs MoU with Queen Rania Teacher Academy 

 

As part of its endeavor to strengthen cooperation, enhance partnership and share experiences with Arab institutions, and under the supervision of H.E. Director-General Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization concluded a Memorandum of Understanding with Queen Rania Teacher Academy, an Amman-based institution with the mission of “enabling, strengthening, and equipping teachers and educators in Jordan and the region with the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies to make the greatest difference for their students”.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Mohammed Sanad Abu Darwish, Director of Science and Scientific Research on behalf of ALECSO, and by Dr. Osama Obaidat, CEO, on behalf of Queen Rania Teacher Academy.

The MoU aims to strengthen partnership and cooperation between the two parties in the following areas:

  • Organizing joint programs and events (conferences, forums, workshops, training courses…);
  • Launching joint projects in sustainable professional development based on global best practices in teaching and learning;
  • Sharing educational and scientific experience and expertise;
  • Disseminating and enhancing scientific culture in Arab societies;
  • Organizing programs to integrate research and inquiry-based methodology into science teaching;
  • Organizing programs to stimulate startup and business development.
  • Launching projects and programs that stimulate entrepreneurship and innovation among Arab youth.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Osama Obaidat presented the Director-General of ALECSO with the Academy’s Shield, in appreciation of ALECSO’s continuous efforts in support of joint Arab action.
