ALECSO Director-General discusses cooperation projects with Egyptian Education Minister

 

 

As part of his official visit to Egypt, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, met, on April 16, 2024 in Cairo, Egypt, with H.E. Dr. Mohamed Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education. 

The meeting discussed the challenges facing education in the Arab world, especially in relation to school curricula, children’s upbringing, and educational priorities in the service of society and individuals. 

The meeting also addressed literacy challenges in Egypt and throughout the Arab world, in addition to the issues of learning loss, learning poverty, adult education and lifelong learning, and education for students with special needs.

The Director-General highlighted the challenges involved in the use of technology and artificial intelligence in the Arab world, especially for children. 

For his part, the Minister highlighted Egypt’s efforts to develop the educational system under the directives of H.E. President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi. 

Both parties agreed to pursue coordination and cooperation in the service of joint Arab action.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Mohamed Reda Hegazy and Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar exchanged commemorative shields.
