ALECSO launches 4th edition of the Arab Code Week

 

The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ICT Department), jointly with King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language and the Tunisian Association for Educational Initiatives, held, virtually on April 1, 2024, the opening meeting of the 4th edition of the Arab Code Week, under the theme of “Smart Applications of the Arabic Language”, with the participation of nearly 250 teachers from various Arab countries.

The meeting opened with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a statement by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, delivered on his behalf by Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of ICT Department. 

Dr. Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Fifi, Head of the Department of Computer Linguistics, delivered a statement on behalf of H.E.  Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi, Secretary-General of King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language.

Ms. Wided Rezgui, President of the Tunisian Association for Educational Initiatives, presented the 4th edition the Arab Code Week and the schedule of activities and events. 

Ms. Awatif Al-Haggan, from the Egyptian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, reviewed the activities held as part of the 3rd edition of the Arab Code Week.
