The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ICT Department) held a consultative meeting with a number of robotics associations as well as with specialists, trainers and winners in Arab and international robotics competitions.
The meeting featured presentations of participants' relevant experiences. It also discussed the development of a training program for Arab youth and teachers and the launch of an Arab competition that takes into consideration the artistic and pedagogical aspects for children and youth, and enhances their sense of innovation and creativity.
The meeting also addressed the situation of robotics clubs and associations and the ways of enhancing and widely disseminating these experiences, in order to develop the sense of logical and creative analysis among Arab youth and provide an attractive, technologically-advanced educational environment.
It was agreed at the end of the meeting to launch an evaluative study of current experiences and to develop a roadmap for the implementation of this promising project.
