The UNESCO World Conference on Culture and Arts Education was concluded on February 15, 2024 at the National Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The closing session saw the participation of Culture and Education Ministers from all around the world to share experiences and innovative ideas for the adoption of the “UNESCO Framework for Culture and Arts Education”. This Framework will serve as a critical tool to shape integrated strategies and policies that anchor the cultural dimension in educational systems, and support investment in nurturing skills and competencies that respond to contemporary needs and opportunities.
The ceremony was attended, among others, by H.E. Ms. Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, H.E. Dr. Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Sheikh Dr. Salem Al Qassimi, UAE Minister of Culture and Youth.
