ALECSO participates in the Arab Civil Society Forum for Childhood

 

The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) took part in the 6th Arab Civil Society Forum for Childhood, held under the theme : “Empowering Arab Children in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Beyond”.

The Forum was organized by the Arab Council for Childhood and Development, in partnership with the League of Arab States, the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND), and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. It was held on February 13-14, 2025 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in the city of Alexandria, Egypt. 

ALECSO was represented at the Forum by Dr. Mohamed Kamal, Director of the Cairo-based Institute of Arab Research and Studies.

Sixteen Arab countries took part in the Forum which witnessed the launch of the first Arab field study entitled : “The Readiness of Arab children for the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Beyond.”

The Forum addressed the role undertaken by Arab civil society concerned with childhood and the main challenges faced in this regard.

The Forum also featured panel discussions involving children and youth, along with prominent Arab researchers and experts.
