H.E. Dr. Imran Al-Qayeb, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the State of Libya, received, on February 7, 2024 in his office at the seat of the Ministry in the capital, Tripoli, the ALECSO delegation that held the training workshop on “Blockchain-based Certificate Authentication and Prevention of Forgery”.
The workshop was organized by ALECSO in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Libyan National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, and hosted by the University of Tripoli on February 5-6, 2024.
The Minister conveyed his thanks to the Director-General of ALECSO, and underlined the importance of the project implemented by ALECSO for the authentication of university certificates and the prevention of forgery using the Blockchain technology. He reiterated the Ministry’s desire to benefit from this qualitative project and to extend the ALECSO “Saddaqni” system to all Libyan universities.
The Minister offered the Director-General of ALECSO the Shield of the Ministry, which was received on his behalf by Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of ICT Department and Head of the ALECSO Delegation.
