The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization is hosting, on January 28-29, 2024, the “ALECSO Business and Partnership Forum”, under the patronage of H.E. Director-General, Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar.
The Forum aims to promote the building of successful partnerships and the implementation of joint projects among regional and international organizations.
H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar stressed that ALECSO is keen, through its future-oriented action plans and strategies, to build bridges of communication with governmental, non-governmental and private sectors, including organizations, bodies and institutions in all Arab countries, and to adopt ideas and projects that would help expand the circle of beneficiaries from its projects and programs. He noted that the Forum seeks to establish a new perception of partnership and financing, enabling the Organization to build successful partnerships and implement joint projects in its fields of specialization, as part of its keen endeavor to enhance joint Arab action.
The Director-General added that the Forum is designed to unify the visions and efforts of Arab countries under the umbrella of ALECSO, in order to build a business model that would help achieve the goals of sustainability, technically and financially, in all ALECSO’s areas of action. It also seeks to raise the level of initiatives and projects, forge broad partnerships for their implementation, and provide external sources of funding for the Organization and develop its own resources.
The Director-General asserted that the Forum will serve to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between ALECSO and the governmental, private and non-profit sectors in all Arab countries. It will seek to build a sustainable business model through partnerships with Arab organizations and institutions active in the fields of education, culture, science, and ICT, which will offer a significant opportunity for ALECSO and partners to open up new avenues for joint action, enabling them to meet current challenges and best respond to the aspirations of Arab societies.
