H.E. Dr. Hibo Moumin Assoweh, Minister of Youth and Culture of the Republic of Djibouti, received H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar and his accompanying delegation.
The Minister hailed the efforts of ALECSO to preserve the intangible cultural heritage in the Arab countries, and thanked the Organization for supporting Djibouti in chairing the joint Arab inscription file to be submitted to UNESCO under the name : “Wedding Night”. She also commended ALECSO’s programs designed for Djibouti and other Arab countries with special needs.
For his part, the Director-General thanked the Minister and commended the significant cooperation on the part of Djibouti, and its participation in the various activities implemented by the Organization. He stressed ALECSO’s keenness to involve Djibouti in its programs, and to prepare the joint inscription file and submit it within the agreed deadline.
This meeting was an opportunity to present the various programs and activities currently underway, and to invite Djibouti to participate in their implementation, especially the upcoming ministerial conferences, the joint Arab inscription files, and the cultural heritage exhibition that will be organized at the end of the current year in the United Arab Emirates.
