H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on December 12, 2023 at ALECSO headquarters, Dr. Abdellatif Bouazizi. President of Zitouna University.
The meeting discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between ALESCO and Zitouna University in a way that serves the mandate of the two institutions in the scientific, intellectual, and cultural fields.
The Director-General presented the activities and programs undertaken by ALECSO in its fields of action. He reviewed, in particular, the outcomes of the University Twinning event that was held at ALECSO headquarters in October 2023, which was attended by 32 university presidents, and during which 120 inter-university agreements were signed to serve common goals in the areas of scientific research.
For his part, the President of Zitouna University conveyed his thanks to the Director-General for this meeting, which would enable the University to establish channels of cooperation with ALECSO and benefit from its expertise in its fields of action. He looked forward to signing a MoU in this regard in the close future.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Hichem Ghrissa, Director of the Higher Institute of Islamic Civilization, and Dr. Mohammed Sanad Abu Darwish, Director of the Department of Science and Scientific Research at ALECSO.
