H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, participated, on December 7-8, 2023, at the Climate Change Conference (COP28), held in Dubai, UAE.
The Director-General attended, on December 7, the inauguration of the Greening Education Hub, which took place under the auspices of the UAE Minister of Education, H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi. The Hub is designed to highlight and advocate for education’s central role in tackling the climate emergency.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Al Falasi, presented the UAE’s forward-looking vision with regard to sustainable environment and green education, which are key priorities for the Ministry and the State. He then invited the audience to visit the exhibition displaying the activities of schools and universities designed to promote green education and instill green behavior.
