ALECSO organizes the First Arab Championship   of Mathematics and Logic Games

 

 

 

The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization launched, on November 27, 2023, the “First Arab Championship of Mathematics and Logic Games”, under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and in collaboration with the Tunisian Ministry of Education. Ten Arab States took part in this three-day event, namely Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco and Mauritania.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Hechmi Ardhaoui, Education Specialist and Program Coordinator at ALECSO, noted that the Organization grants prominent attention, in all its  policies, programs, projects and initiatives, to the implementation of SDG4 related to inclusive, equitable and quality education.  ALECSO, he added, is keen on supporting Member States’ efforts to upgrade education systems, improve their outcomes, and enhance their competitive advantage, so that they can provide their students with high skills and knowledge that enable them to fully assume their roles within their societies.

Mr. Ardhaoui noted that this First Arab Championship of Mathematics and Logic Games is designed to motivate individuals and institutions to contribute to improving education and building Arab generations who are equipped with the needed intellectual and scientific skills so that they can advance their societies in all fields. 

Mr. Ardhaoui concluded by announcing that the 2024 edition of the Arab Mathematics Olympiad will be kindly hosted by the State of Qatar.
