H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received the Presidents of Arab universities who participated in the first Forum of Arab Universities, hosted by ALECSO on October 17-18, 2023.
The meeting offered opportunities to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation between ALECSO and Arab universities, and giving concrete expression to the forward-looking vision of the Director-General in this regard.
The Director-General stressed the importance of ALECSO’s openness to its external environment, being an Arab house of expertise in education, culture, and science. He highlighted ALECSO’s initiatives involving the establishment of ALECSO’s “Fund for Scientific Research”, “Science Portal”, and “Scientific Research Ethics Manual”, which are aligned with the goals set out in the Arab Strategy for Scientific Research, Technology and Innovation. He insisted that cooperation with universities in all fields of scientific research is now more than necessary.
The Presidents of Arab Universities thanked the Director-General for convening this scientific event, which will lay the ground for a fruitful relationship with ALECSO in all its fields of action, and enable the Organization to benefit from the scientific production of universities and scientific research centers.
