H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, took part in a symposium organized by the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS) on the occasion of the World Teachers’ Day, celebrated on October 5th of each year.
In his statement on this occasion, the Director-General stressed the need for devoting greater attention to the teacher and enhancing his status, the teacher being the cornerstone of the educational process and serving as educator, mentor, and role model for young generations. Teachers, he added, need continued training and skill-upgrading so that they can keep pace with the current technological and digital developments.
The Director-General highlighted, in this regard, the special place granted to teachers in ALECSO’s programs and activities and in its Action Plan for the coming years.
