H.E. Dr. Habib El Malki, President of the Supreme Council for Education, Training and Scientific Research in the Kingdom of Morocco, received, on September 22, 2023 at the Council’s headquarters, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO.
The meeting discussed ways of enhancing cooperation and partnership between the two institutions in areas of shared interest.
The Director-General underlined the key role of education in promoting socio-economic and cultural advancement. He also stressed the importance of sharing expertise and experience among Member States to develop the fields of education, culture and science. He commended the outstanding experience of the Council, which has enabled it to develop its capacity for proposal and assessment toward advancing the systems of education, training and scientific research in Morocco.
For his part, the President of the Council highlighted the importance of promoting sustainable partnership and cooperation with ALECSO for the development of education, training and scientific research in the Arab countries. He welcomed the Director-General’s proposal to hold periodic conferences for education and training councils and similar institutions, with the aim of increasing cooperation in relevant fields and developing future-oriented visions for the promotion of education, training and scientific research in the Arab world.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Council, the Secretary-General of the Moroccan National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, and the Director of the Rabat-based Arabization Coordination Bureau.
