H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, is pleased to congratulate the State of Palestine, the Republic of Tunisia, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the inscription of “Tell es-Sultan” (Palestine), “Djerba Island” (Tunisia), and “Uruq Bani Ma’arid” (Saudi Arabia) on the UNESCO World Heritage List, during the extended 45th session of the World Heritage Committee, held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This achievement bears witness to the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the Arab countries dating back to ancient times.
