The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (Education Department) held a Seminar entitled “My School Without Bullying”. This event was attended by representatives from Arab countries, along with a team of trainees from “MiSK Foundation”, Saudi Arabia. It was held in line with the directives of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, to work on combating bullying in schools.
In his statement on this occasion, Dr. Rami Iskander, Director of the Education Department, conveyed the Director-General’s greetings to all participants, and extended his sincere thanks to H.E. Mr. Hani bin Moqbel Al-Moqbel, Chair of the Executive Board of ALECSO, H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Blihed, Secretary-General of the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Shawan, Director-General of the Strategy and Projects Department at the Saudi National Commission, and to all the Commission’s staff members.
The Seminar was an opportunity to share ideas and experiences on how to create a bully-free school environment, and how to enhance awareness of the importance of promoting diversity and mutual respect among students, which would enable them to better develop their skills and talents.
