H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and H.E. Dr. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Sabti, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, signed, on September 12, 2023 at the Commission’s headquarters in Riyadh, a Memorandum of Understanding designed to open up wider prospects for stronger joint action between the two parties.
The MoU involves mutual sharing of experience and expertise in the field of education and training evaluation, at national, Arab and global levels, to the benefit of all relevant stakeholders. It also aims to enhance cooperation in the areas of measurement and accreditation of Arabic language curricula and programmes.
Under this MoU, the two parties shall form a joint scientific working group to be in charge of developing plans for the implementation of the MoU provisions. This involves establishing training and capacity-building programs, holding expert seminars and workshops, and preparing guidance manuals for Arabic language education.
The Director-General was accompanied by Dr. Mourad Mahmoudi, Secretary of the Executive Board and General Conference, Acting Director of the Culture Department, and Mr. Abdelhedi Ghemari, Coordinator of Activities at the Culture Department.
