 13th Conference of Arab Education Ministers :   Rabat Declaration

 

 

We, the Ministers and Heads of Delegation of Arab States, and Representatives of Arab, regional and international organizations, centers and bodies, extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, may Allah protect him, for Morocco’s hosting of this Ministerial Conference, held as part of strengthening Arab, regional and international efforts to advance the field of education.

We reaffirm our commitment to the following principles and directives :

  1. Promoting and strengthening joint Arab coordination toward enhancing the education system;
  2. Upgrading education, being a strategic development choice for our Arab countries, and  aligning it with the requirements of digital transformation;
  3. Developing Arab visions and directions for promoting education systems and sharing national experiences;
  4. Ensuring equal educational opportunities in accordance with the principle of inclusive and equitable education for all segments of Arab societies;
  5. Realizing the principle of compulsory education to ensure sustainable school career and  reduce learning loss;
  6. Enhancing the role of the school as a space for openness and for acquiring national , universal and citizenship values;
  7. Supporting initiatives designed to develop and upgrade education;
  8. Promoting the use of the applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in education curricula.

We affirm our support for continued Arab coordination and consultation to improve educational systems and transform education as a key driver of comprehensive and sustainable development, and renew our thanks to the Kingdom of Morocco for the generous hospitality, wishing it continued growth, prosperity, security, and stability.
